Green Day - Planting in the ID trail

Watch our lovely slideshow of Rm 1 in the ID Trail. We planted 5 native plants and our class is now responsible for a Manuka tree. We will research information about the Manuka tree which will then be accessible on site, by scanning the QR code on the concrete slab.

Nerf Gun maths

In the nerf gun challenge children shot nerf gun bullets at plastic bottles. Each large bottle was worth 10 points. Children then added the tens together and in the process gained an understanding of the number of tens within a number. For example 4 tens as a number is 40 and 14 tens as a number is 140. This number knowledge is important when using strategies to solve maths problems. Tilly did a great job presenting her understanding of this task.
